Head of Sales

Responsibilities:
  • Hire the right people and grow the sales team
  • Develop team sales strategy and drive revenue growth
  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships with client senior executives at SVP, VP and C levels.
  • Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries
  • Proactively Prospect, Qualify, Grow, and Maintain an account list
  • Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how Yahoo! can drive revenue to their business
  • Hit target revenue quota (quarterly)
  • Pitch new business to advertising agencies and direct clients
  • Proactively provide smart client research and industry specific information
  • Become and maintain the reputation in the industry as an innovative and creative Brand Marketer
  • Work with cross functional teams internally to provide the most competitive solutions to clients
Requirements:
  • 10 or more years total individual sales experience; advertising sales experience preferred
  • 3 or more years experience directly managing a fast-paced, quality-focused sales and service organization
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Proven history of successfully attaining or exceeding aggressive goals
  • Proven leader in managing a sales organization
  • Ability to work towards common goals in a group sales environment
  • Professional demeanor
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively
